Dear Sir/Madam,
Without admitting any liability, I am writing you in connection with the above-mentioned account.
Pursuant to paragraph 12(1)(a) of the Debt Collection Practice Regulations, NWT Reg 049-2003, enacted under the Consumer Protection Act, RSNWT 1988, c C-17, you are to only communicate with me in writing at the address found at the top of this letter.
If your collection agency or any of its employees contact me by telephone following receipt of this written communication I will take appropriate action including, but not limited to, filing a formal written complaint with the Northwest Territories regulator responsible for supervising the conduct of collection agencies, as well as seeking legal advice in connection with commencing a civil lawsuit.
